Thalassery Pier is a historic 500-foot sea bridge built by the British East India Company in 1910. Originally constructed with massive cranes and rail tracks to transport spices, pepper, coffee, fish, and wood from shore godowns straight to ships, it has since become a pop-culture icon — the romantic backdrop of the Malayalam film Thattathin Marayathu.
