A historic colonial-era fortress on a rocky cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea in Thalassery, built by the British East India Company. Its massive red laterite stone walls measure 10 metres high and 3 metres thick, mortared with a legendary mixture of quicklime, egg whites, and sugar candy. The fort stands as a major monument to the region's rich trade and military history.
