“Mist-capped peaks” — that is what Thusharagiri means, and this multi-tiered waterfall system in the Western Ghats lives up to the name. Formed where two mountain streams join to create the Chalippuzha River, the falls are reached through spice plantations of rubber, pepper, ginger, and arecanut. 50 km from Kozhikode city.

Best season

September to February

Post-monsoon the falls run strong while the forest trails stay walkable. Peak monsoon turns the rocks slippery and the upper trek risky.
